Rural is in my genes. I grew up in a town with more cows than people. Always fascinated by how God created our bodies, I wanted to be a physician for rural communities. With this goal, I joined the US Coast to pay for my medical school. After graduating from University of Arizona College of Medicine, I completed the dual residency of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Good Samaritan and Phoenix Children’s Hospitals. My academic time in Phoenix finished with a Fellowship in Adolescent Medicine.
Payson was searching for a Pediatrician in 1996, and found me. The hospital was even more pleased when they found out that I was trained for all ages. Almost 25 years later, I have had the privilege of being one of the wonderful, dedicated physicians of Payson. From helping newborns take their first breaths to caring for those leaving for heaven, I have been so blessed by the people of Rim Country.
